These terms govern your use of thereceiptstudio.com (“the Service”). By using the Service, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. What the Service is
The Receipt Studio is an online tool for creating customizable receipt documents for legitimate business, creative, educational, and personal purposes, for example, receipts for your own business, expense records, design mockups, film and theater props, and teaching materials.
2. What the Service is not
The Service does not produce official documents of any retailer or brand. Templates styled after well-known store formats are provided for layout reference, prop-making, and design purposes only. Receipts you create here are not proof of any actual transaction with any company.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only as described in our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these terms. In short: no fraud, no deception, no illegal activity. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates it, without refund.
4. Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you enter and the documents you create, and for how you use them. You confirm that your use complies with the laws of your country, state, and locality. Creating a document is easy; misrepresenting it as a genuine transaction record can be a crime (fraud, forgery, or falsification of records, depending on jurisdiction).
5. Accounts and payments
The core tool is free and includes a watermark on exports. Paid plans remove the watermark and add features as described on our pricing page. Payments are processed by Stripe. Refund terms: If the Service doesn’t work as described, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a refund. Adjust to what you actually offer. We may change pricing with notice; changes won’t affect a period you’ve already paid for.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, its design, and its code belong to us. The documents you create with your own content are yours. Third-party brand names and logos that appear in templates belong to their respective owners; their appearance does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those companies.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service online, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, add, or remove features at any time.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that documents created here are suitable for any legal, tax, or accounting requirement, consult a professional for that.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Indemnity
If your misuse of the Service causes a third party to bring a claim against us, you agree to cover our resulting costs and damages.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, particularly the Acceptable Use Policy.
